Central Quay Regeneration, Cardiff
CCTV Drainage surveys, cleansing & no-dig repairs
Central Quay is one of Cardiff's largest regeneration projects, transforming the former Brains Brewery site into a vibrant mixed-use development comprising residential, commercial and public spaces. As part of the ongoing infrastructure works, TKS Civils was appointed to undertake specialist drainage investigations and trenchless repairs across sections of the site's underground drainage network.
Over a three-day programme, TKS Civils delivered CCTV drainage surveys and targeted no-dig patch lining repairs to support the development works.
A dedicated six-man team was deployed using three specialist vehicles, including our mainline CCTV survey unit, patch lining vehicle and van pack jetting unit. The drainage network was thoroughly cleaned before detailed CCTV inspections were undertaken to assess pipe condition and identify defects requiring repair.
Following the surveys, our engineers completed a series of no-dig patch lining installations to rehabilitate defective sections of the network. Each repair was verified with post-installation CCTV surveys, providing the client with confirmation that the works had been successfully completed.
By combining jetting, CCTV surveying and trenchless rehabilitation within a single coordinated operation, TKS Civils delivered an efficient solution while minimising disruption to the wider construction programme.
